Eyefins – Shaping surfboards
An eye on the art and craftsmanship of a Canarian surfboard shaper
Alejandro, aka EYEFINS, has been designing and manufacturing surfboards for 7 years. At his request we visited him at his workshop in Lajares, Fuerteventura – to capture some digital content including photos and a small video capturing him at work.
There is a beauty, art, elegence and science to the process. The material is delicate and the work must be precise.
We documented some of the steps of his work, as he finished the design and colour, applied the resin on the boards.
It is fascinating to see and document up close the work of a young craftsman who is passionate about his work.
